JAMMU, June 13: Chenab Valley Power Projects (P) Ltd (CVPP) today celebrated its Raising Day by organizing special functions at its Corporate Office Jammu, Project site office Kishtwar and Camp offices at Srinagar and Faridabad.
The main function was organized at its Corporate Office, Jammu. It was presided over by the Chairman of CVPP [P] Ltd, M Y Khan and attended by Managing Director M S Babu and other senior officers of the organization.
Both Chairman and MD addressed the gathering and stressed the need for making all out efforts to take up construction of the projects and to complete it in scheduled time at minimum cost. They appreciated all the employees for their contribution and asked them to work with high spirits and dedication to overcome the impediments in the way for timely achievement of the goal set by the company. A cultural programme was also presented by the employees.
The organization has been incorporated for execution of three Hydroelectric Projects, namely Pakal Dul, Kiru and Kwar with aggregate capacity of 2164 MW at Chenab River Basin in Distt Kishtwar of Jammu & Kashmir.
All the statutory clearances are in place for the execution of Pakal Dul HEP (1000 MW) and tendering of major works are in process. CEA has accorded Techno Economic Appraisal (TEA) of Kiru HE project (624 MW) and Environment Clearance of the project is expected soon. The DPR of 540 MW Kwar HE Project is already submitted to Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
Company also acknowledged the support of all the promoters in execution of these mega projects which will boost the economic scenario of the State in general and Kishtwar district in particular.
