JAMMU, June 10: Former Deputy Director, Doordarshan Jammu, a well known cultural personality and artist P L Handoo breathed his last today after a cardiac arrest. He was 73.
His cremation was performed at Gole Gujral Cremation Ground near Revenue Complex. People from all walks of life including artists, social activists and employees of Prasar Bharti attended his funeral procession which started from his Gole Gujral residence late in the afternoon.
Various organizations including Aarohi Sangeet Vidaylaya, Pt. Prem Nath Shastri Sanskritik Shodh Sansthan and theatre personalities have expressed their shock and grief over his demise and said that State due to his death has lost a great personality.
