AMCCC to intensify struggle for displaced Pandits’ cause

JAMMU, May 31: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee which has decided to launch a struggle seeking justice for the displaced Pandits leading an exiled life for last 27 years now in their own country today said that the organisation will work for unity of the KP community.
In a joint statement AMCCC chief, Desh Rattan other leader Mr K V, R L Sharma and MK Raina said that his organization will continue the struggle against changing the names of religious and historical places in Valley the process which was started during the rule of Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah.
Desh Rattan demanded that the process be stopped once for all. Moreover, the organization will also fight for restoration of left over migrant property as well as of their religious places in Valley which has been encroached by anti social and anti national elements over the years.
He also demanded that a Parliamentary team should visit Valley to ascertain the facts about the displaced Pandits. He also demanded release of balance ration to the displaced people for months of February, March and April and expressed concern over denial of ration of May to migrants at Tope.
Strongly demanding one place settlement in Valley, he said it is majority community which has rejected the composite culture. He also demanded special compensation for over aged youth, implementation of PM package and release of balance ex-gratia.
Pandita said a complete bandh was also observed by the inmates of Jagti on call of AMCCC yesterday in support of these demands and the organization will accelerate struggle in future. He said JCC led by Sanjay Raina also supported AMCCC struggle.
