JAMMU, May 30: Organized by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Jammu Region under the umbrella of St John Ambulance Association, Regional Centre, four-day first aid/FMR training course for the employees of various departments and Red Cross volunteers, concluded here at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni.
The first aid training was imparted by a team of senior consultants viz. Dr TR Raina (Administrator, Swami Vivekanand Hospital, Jammu), Dr Satish Sharma (Ex-Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu), Dr Rajinder Thappa, (CMO, Government SMGS Hospital, Jammu), Dr Munish (Senior Orthopedic Surgeon, Max Hospital, Amritsar), Dr Vidhi Kohli (Medical Officer, Police Hospital, Jammu), Dr ML Sharma (Retd DMO) and Dr Kavita Nijhon (Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary).
ML Raina, Director, Rural Development Department, Jammu was the chief guest on the valedictory function. He interacted with the first aid trainers and impressed upon the trainers to provide every possible first aid to the injured persons.
Earlier, RC Puri, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, presented the welcome address.
