JAMMU, May 27: A deputation of All J&K Sheep and Wool Workers Association (SWWA), Jammu led by its president, Ashok Badyal, and convener, Rajinder Singh Pawar met Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu and presented a charter of demands.
The main demands projected by the deputation include two and half days extra pay for the employees working round the clock in the department, promotion of all the department trained ASM and Stock Assistant to Flock Supervisors against already vacant posts in the department, considering three years period for the next promotion instead of five years and stoppage of undue recoveries from the staff.
The other demands raised by the deputation were distribution of Government Rams policy and creation of posts of Section Officers in the Joint Director’s offices and Head Assistant at district level, purchase of standard quality drugs, timely procurement of vaccines and enhancement of rent of Sheep Centers.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured early redressal of the genuine demands of the association.
