SRINAGAR, May 26:Chairman of Legislative Council today directed the State Government to ensure the presence of Commissioner/Secretaries and other officers in the officers’ gallery of the House.
After seeing no officer present in the officers’ gallery, the Council Chairman Haji Anayat Ali directed Ministers Naeem Akhtar and Abdul Haq Khan to ensure presence of Commissioner/Secretaries and other officers from tomorrow onwards.
Earlier, the Opposition Congress leader and MLC, Ghulam Nabi Monga, castigated the State Government over presence of handful of Ministers in the Upper House. He accused Government of adopting ‘non-serious’ approach towards Upper House and appealed Chairman to direct Government to make sure the presence of Ministers.
