DODA, May 26: A teenage boy was killed, while three others received critical injuries, when a Tempo Trax they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near grid station on Thathri-Phagsoo road in Thathri area this afternoon.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-3656 was on its way from Phagsoo to Thathri, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge, resulting into serious injuries to four persons.
After getting information, police immediately rushed to the spot and with the help of locals all the injured were shifted to Thathri Hospital, from where they were later referred to District Hospital Doda for advanced treatment.
One of the accident victims succumbed to his injuries while on way to Doda and all the three injured persons have been airlifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for advanced treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Imran 15, son of Abdul Karim Ganai of village Phagsoo.
The injured have been identified as Mohammad Amin 50, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Jangalwar, Abid Hussain, son of Ali Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of Nandna and Toseef Ahmed, son of Noor Din Sheikh, a resident of Bandoga.
A case under FIR Number 25/16 under Section 279,337 has been registered at Police Station Thathri and investigation started.
