JAMMU, May 25: Digiana police nabbed an inter-district drug peddler along with heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Digiana police post laid a naka at Digiana pully.
After seeing police cops, a person tried to escape from the spot, but the cops chased and nabbed him.
During checking, police recovered 4000 miligrams heroin from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Jagga Ram, son of Sunder Bass, a resident of district Kathua.
During preliminary questioning, the accused told that he use to sale the consignment among youth in Kathua and Jammu districts.
A case under FIR number 121/16 under Section 8/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Digiana police post PSI Pawan Kumar Dogra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
