SRINAGAR : A porter working with army was killed today by unidentified gunmen in the frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara, official sources said here.
Liyakat Ali who was working as porter was fired upon by unidentified gunmen at Waderbala. The injured was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
A massive hunt has been launched to nab the gunmen who managed to escape after killing the porter. Three policemen killed by militants in Srinagar on May 23 also belonged to Kupwara. The Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed the responsibility for their killing. (AGENCIES)
