MENDHAR, May 24: The people from Mankote and Sagra area today held protest against the PHE authorities for its failure provide drinking water to the general public.
The people from the area came out on the road at Jalebi Morh near Mankote at around 8 AM and blocked road. They sat on dharna on the road and stopped movement of the vehicles. They raised slogans against PHE authorities for their failure in ensuring water supply for the last one month. The movement of vehicles remained suspended for three hours.
Later, SHO Mendhar and Incharge Police Post, Mankote and Tehsildar Mankote reached there and on their assurance the people lifted dharna.
