JAMMU, May 24: Police arrested a notorious vehicle lifter and recovered seven motorcycles from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Talab Tillo police post conducted raid and arrested a notorious vehicle lifter, who has been identified as Ankush Kumar Sharma, son of Sat Pal, a resident of Bhamla, district Reasi.
During sustained questioning, the accused broke down and confessed of various motor vehicle thefts in Jammu district.
On his disclosure, seven stolen motorcycles were recovered.
A case under FIR Number 120/16 under Section 379 and 411 RPC stands registered against the accused at Nowabad police station and further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Talab Tillo police post SI Rahul Mahajan made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector RS Choudhary, SDPO West Sugandha Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
