SRINAGAR, May 24: Member Legislative Council from PDP, Vikramaditya Singh today inaugurated the Govt Primary School building at Nowdal in Pulwama.
In September 2014, students of Govt Primary School in Nowdal area of Pulwama district lost their school building in the devastating floods.
This School building has been re-constructed by SEEDS India with the support from PWC India under the J&K Flood Response initiative. The school was inaugurated today by the MLC Vikramaditya Singh in the presence of Deepak Kapoor, Chairman, PwC India, young students, their families and the local community.
Speaking on the occasion Vikramaditya said that education is the lifeline of children, it is at school that they learn their foundation. Such beautiful buildings help enhance that purpose and this new school will ensure children in the area can continue their education.
The MLC also appreciated the efforts of SEEDS India and PWC India for completing the reconstruction of this school. He said that this will go a long way in rekindling hope in the hearts of children and the community in Pulwama area of Kashmir.
