JAMMU, May 23: Hari Prabhu Sanstha, a Billawar based NGO, has provided financial help for the medical treatment of 12 years old Jaskirat Singh, suffering from an incurable and life threatening disease Primary Immune Deficiency Disorder (PIDD).
The PIDD is a mal-condition in a body which restricts the immune system, building cells of the body resulting into gradual degeneration of one’s body which if not treated timely may also cause death.
Talvinder Singh, father of ailing child, is a taxi driver and can’t afford monthly expenses of Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 per month.
The ailing child is undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh since 2009. Father of the child has appealed to NGO and general public for financial help for treatment of his son through local daily newspapers. He has also approached the State Government for medical financial help through Deputy Commissioner Jammu, but the response is still awaited.
The cheque for financial help was given to the beneficiary through Jagmohan Gupta, president and S C Gupta, general secretary of the Sanstha in the presence of P N Jalla, P N Koul, Master K L Gupta, Subash Gupta, Dev Kumar Gupta and Vinod Gupta.
