Family alleges murder of domestic help girl, protests seeking justice

UDHAMPUR, May 21: Alleged suicide by a 17-year old girl of Sudhmahadev, who was working as domestic help in a house at Pouni Chak Jammu where she died on May 19, triggered strong protest by the family members and relatives of the deceased as they alleged that it was murder.
The family members along with locals today held strong protest demonstration at Sudhmahadev in Chenani after putting dead body on the road.
The protesting family members alleged that the deceased Rajni Devi (17) had not committed suicide but was murdered by the lady, in whose residence she was working as domestic help. Amidst raising of slogans, they demanded immediate arrest of the said lady and registration of murder case against her.
The protest demonstration continued for around two hours thus leading to disruption of vehicular movement on the road. The dharna was lifted and protesting people dispersed off after SHO Chenani, Inspector Mahesh Sharma reached the spot and assured proper inquiry into the case.
