SRINAGAR, May 21: A delegation of White Walls Media comprising Subash Ghai , Film Producer and Director; Karan Kukreja and Kumar Amit Sinha, Directors-Corporate Communication; Divank Rastogi, one of the Founders Great of Indian Film and Literature Festival (GIFLIF), met Governor N.N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation apprised the Governor about the projected GIFLIF-Kashmir edition to be held at Srinagar, and sought support for the promotion of theatre, T.V, film and literature artists of the Valley.
The Governor assured to take up this matter with the State Government and suggested to the delegation to consider making movies that reflect rich culture, heritage and struggle for freedom which help to generate awareness about our historical diversity and traditions of tolerance and pluralism.
The Governor also advised the delegation to involve local art, literature, music and folk theatre groups in their endeavour.
Meanwhile, on receiving invitation from the Raj Bhavan, Athar Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan, who secured the 2nd rank at the recently announced Civil Services 2015 Examination result called on Governor.
During his interaction with Mr. Shafi, who hails from Anantnag district, the Governor appreciated his hard work and achievements and congratulated him on his prestigious entry into the Indian Administrative Service. The Governor advised him, from the very first day of his service, to distinguish the right from the wrong and work honestly and with total dedication for advancing the welfare of the people he was called upon to serve, to whichever post he was assigned.
