DM directs for strict adherence to Govt order on closure of schools

JAMMU, May 21: Invoking powers conferred under Section 133 CrPC, the District Magistrate Jammu, Simrandeep Singh has directed the Principals and Managements of schools affiliated with Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education and Central Board of School Education falling in Jammu district to ensure strict compliance to the Government order regarding closure of all educational institutions including private in Jammu zone from May 21 to May 28 in view of intense heat wave.
It has been brought to the notice of District Magistrate that some private schools (both CBSE as well as JKBOSE) did not comply with the order issued by Government  despite the fact that intense heat wave is gripping the Jammu region.
As the continuance of the schools during the notified period may affect the health and comfort of the students, the District Magistrate while invoking powers under Section 133 JK CrPC has directed Principals and Managements of schools affiliated with Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education and Central Board of School Education to ensure strict compliance to the Government order.
“The failure to comply with the order will lead to proceedings under Section 188 of Ranbir Penal Code (RPC)”, the District Magistrate said in the order.
