Tourism Federation organizes interaction with Secretary Tourism

JAMMU, Apr 24: Tourism Federation of Jammu, the apex body of tourism service providers of Jammu province, organized an interaction with Farooq A Shah, Secretary Tourism, here today.
Rakesh Gupta, president Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Yudhvir Sethi, vice president of State BJP, were guests of honor in the function.
While addressing the gathering,   Farooq A Shah   explained the vision of late Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed for development of tourism in J&K, and Chief Minister  Mehbooba Mufti’s resolve to implement the vision of Late Mufti  and the sincere efforts Tourism Department is making in this direction.
He appreciated the role of Tourism service providers of J&K as they travel around the globe in different trade fairs to market J&K. He explained in details various promotional activities being taken up by Government and assured all support to tourism fraternity in this regard.
On this occasion Secretary Tourism also distributed certificates for meritorious services to top business managers of tourism trade in Jammu,  namely Parvinder Kaur, Meenakshi Kaul, Rahul Gosian, Harpreet Singh, Vikas Sharma( Katra), Ashok Kumar(Katra), Ravinder Singh(Katra), Vijay Kumar and Manoj Munshi.
Farooq A Shah also explained in detail the unexplored Golf Tourism potential in Jammu and how tourism industry can benefit from this best Golf Course at Sidhra which is the only civilian Golf Course in J&K to remain operational throughout the year.
Yudhvir Sethi highlighted the achievements of present Government and assured the party’s resolve to promote Tourism in J&K.
Nishant Gupta, president Association of Domestic Tour Operators of Jammu and Rakesh Gupta, president Jammu Chamber of Commerce, also spoke on the occasion.
