DODA, Apr 15: One person was killed and another seriously injured when a motorcycle they were riding on collided with a mini-bus near Khellani on Batote-Kishtwar highway here today.
As per police sources, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK06-9199 collided with a mini-bus coming from opposite direction near Khellani, resulting into serious injuries to both persons riding on the bike.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital, where doctors pronounced Parveen Kumar, son of Munshi Ram, a resident of Khellani as brought dead.
The condition of the injured identified as Amit Kumar, son of Suresh Kumar of Khellani was stated to be out of danger, when reports last came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Doda police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the mini bus driver, who managed to escape from the spot.
