JAMMU, Apr 11: An emergency meeting of the Central Executive body of the All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) was held today under the chairmanship of Balwan Singh Jamwal for conveying its resentment over the pre-conditioned recruitment of Lecturers.
The meeting took strong exception to irrational and illogical advertisement issued by the J&K Public Service Commission vide its notification 09-PSC(DR-P) of 2016 dated 19-03-2016 where by certain pre-requisite conditions have been attached with the recruitment process of +2 Lecturers under direct recruitment quota.
Federation condemned that the new recruits are to work in transfer zone irrespective of the fact whether the incumbent is already in- service teacher or whether he/she is physically fit to work in that area. This pre-condition has deprived and virtually discouraged in- service teacher from applying under direct quota, the Federation said.
The Federation further rued that new recruits are purportedly to work on basic minimum pay of the grade without allowances for five years in zone III which is nothing but the reflection of anti- employees, anti-teacher and anti- people policies of the present dispensation whether at Centre or in the State.
Federation, through a unanimous resolution, called upon the PSC and State Government to immediately withdraw unwarranted condition forthwith and further stressed upon the Finance Ministry to stop the process of engaging the employees on partial wages under the nomenclature of contractualism, adhocism and daily rated concept and not to shelve its responsibility as model employer and welfare state as enshrined in the directive principle of the Constitution.
Those who attended the meeting, included Joginder Singh Manhas, Sudershan Sharma, Chaman Lal, Shamsher Singh, Mohan Lal, Sanjaveen Singh, Naresh Choudhary, Jagdeep Singh, Tara Chand and Ajay Kumar.
