JAMMU, Apr 8: 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Kishore Kumar today rejected the bail application of one Surinder Kumar, son of Dhan Raj, resident of Sidhra Bye-Pass, who was arrested by the police in kidnapping and rape with a college girl.
According to the police case, one Kaneez Begum lodged a written complaint mentioning that on March 8, 2016 her daughter, a student of BN College, Sunjwan had gone to the college as per routine but did not return.
After verification and search of the girl, it came to know that one Surinder Kumar along with Kasturi Lal, Arjun Kumar, Rehali and Sonia had kidnapped her and taken to unknown place. The investigation of the case was entrusted to the IO who after recording the statements of the prosecution witnesses under Section 161 CrPC recovered the prosecutrix.
During the investigation, it was prima facie proved that the prosecutrix was kidnapped and raped by Surinder Kumar.
After hearing both the sides, the court rejected the bail application of Surinder Kumar.
