JAMMU, Apr 3: Terming both BJP and PDP completely unaware of grievances of people and maintaining that great cry and little wool are synonyms with regard to their working during their 10-month rule in coalition Government, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla asked the Government to streamline the ration supply.
While addressing and leading huge gathering of hundreds of people protesting against Government for adopting different yardsticks with respect to distribution of ration in rural and urban areas, he said that distribution of ration should be streamlined without differentiating Rural and Urban areas as this is against the very principle of democracy and also against the fundamental rights guaranteed in the Constitution.
People were protesting against the non-availability of ration and other basic amenities, particularly releasing wheat instead of flour. They were displaying placards with slogans against the Government.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that it is unfortunate that leaders of both BJP and PDP have no time to address the basic issues including power, clean drinking water, ration and other basic requirements which are vital to lead a normal life.
He slammed both Central and State Government for their failure to control rising inflation that has badly affected domestic budget thereby making their life from bad to worst and making it extremely difficult for them to make their both ends meet.
He expressed disappointment that despite getting huge mandate from Kashmir as well as Jammu regions they failed to deliver on single platform because of their indulgence in personal issues putting the State into lurch.
Bhalla claimed that new Government which is being framed after sacrificing their hard core ideologies will be extremely difficult to run. As has been seen in the past also it seems that this unholy alliance has been reached just to grab power and creating wedge among different section of societies by playing with their sentiments and showing them the dreams which ultimately will become complete failure.
