KATRA, Mar 15: Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 32 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A Police team, headed by SHO Katra, Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Dr Ashok Sharma and Addl SP Sumir Kotwal, laid a special naka on Katra-Udhampur road at Matyal near Petrol Pump and apprehended the accused. Police recovered 32 Poly Pouches, measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor, from his possession.
The accused, identified as Kiran Kumar alias Goli of Matyal Katra, was arrested and a case FIR No. 41/2016 U/S 48-A Act, 188/RPC has stands registered at Police Station Katra.
