JAMMU, Mar 11: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held a strong demonstration against Governor N.N.Vohra & CAPD for implementing order of supplying grains instead of wheat as well as reduction of quota of sugar.
The demonstration was held under the leadership of Vikram Singh Bhadwal PDP leader along with Chaman Angral, Sohit Sharma, Girish Sharma, Mubaris Khan, Gourav Sharma, Vinod, Jagveer Singh, Usha Bhali, Geeta Sharma, Neha Rajput, Satvir Khour, Reta Devi, Pooja Mahajan, Sandeep Jamwal, Amit Mahajan at Kacchi Chawani near Library, Jammu.
Vikram Singh said it is very unfortunate step taken by CAPD & allowed by our Governor for supplying of grains instead of wheat in the State. “We are living in 21st centaury and day by day we are progressing towards new achievements but we can’t understand the step of providing of grains instead of wheat in modern life’’.
Meanwhile, Pradesh Youth Congress workers held a protest against the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department at Samba under the leadership of Sandeep Sharma, Vice President of PYC for non availability of ration.
Large number of people from different areas assembled in Main Chowk Samba, held protest and burnt the effigy of CAPD Department.
The protestors stated that the CAPD Department is taking decisions which are creating problems for the already suffering people.
Among others present were Gambir Singh, general secretary Congress Labour Cell, Dev Raj, Jagdev Chand, Chaman Lal, Capt Amarnath Verma, Anita Devi, Sunita Devi, Chanchala Kumari, etc.
