JAMMU, Mar 6: Kunwar Ravi Singh Slathia, president, Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha, J&K unit, has expressed his serious concern on demolition of the 112-year old prestigious heritage “Raj Tilak Bhawan” and alleged misappropriation of crores of rupees in allotment of shops of the Bhawan, which is a holy temple for entire Rajput Biradari of J&K.
Addressing a press conference along with other office bearers of the Kshatriya Mahasabha, he alleged mal-functioning of Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha, J&K and appealed to all the biradari members in general and senior members of the community in particular, to come forward and save this great Sabha.
“The Sabha is being ruined by the persons occupying the same illegally as this is a great insult to this great community that has the history of proffering supreme sacrifices for the nation. The act of such elements has not only damaged this prestigious heritage but also brought bad name to the Sabha,” he said and also appealed to the Rajput youth to come forward so that necessary steps are taken for restoration of pristine glory of the Raj Tilak Bhawan, the holy temple of the whole Rajputs of this State which was founded by their fore-fathers about 112 years ago.
Ravi Singh demanded that a `General Ajlas’ (general body meeting) of the Biradari should be immediately called for deliberating over the whole issue and also seeking detailed accounts of the crores of rupees received from the people to whom the shops constructed after demolishing the Bhawan have been given.
He further appealed to all the Rajput stalwarts to come forward and keeping into view the seriousness of the whole issue, constitute a committee for looking into it and chalk out further course of action against the persons involved in committing such a heinous crime by demolishing the prestigious holy-place of Rajputs. “Otherwise, future generation will not forgive us for remaining mute spectator to such criminal acts committed by some anti-social elements and anti-biradari elements having captured the Bhawan,” he added.
