UDHAMPUR, Feb 6: Up in arms against incomplete work on road from Battal to Mansar, locals held a strong protest demonstration and blocked Dhar Road.
They also forced stoppage of road work near Battal Morh, near Udhampur, for a few hours. The protesting people alleged that PWD had stopped road work from Battal to Mansar, which was started earlier but left incomplete half the way.
Due to the protest, hundreds of passenger vehicles and trucks remained stranded on the road following which SHO Majalta and Tehsildar Majalta reached the spot and assured people that work on the road would be re0started within three – four days.
