JAMMU, Feb 5: A one-day seminar on the topic ‘Human excellence with values’ was organized by Srimat Vivekananda Forum (SVF) Ghordi in collaboration with internationally acclaimed organization, Ramakrishna Mission, Branch Centre, Udheywala Jammu, headed by Swami Nirantrananda.
The programme was meant to enrich the people with values which are declining day by day. The same programmes were earlier held in the districts of Rajouri and Reasi, where huge number of locals, youth and students participated.
In Ghordi, the programe was organized by SVF with active support of Zonal Education Officer Ghordi wherein more than 150 teachers of zone Ghordi, teachers of Ekal Vidhalya, local youth and prominent citizens participated.
The programe was divided into two sessions. In first session, Swami Ekarthananda, assistant secretary, RKM Jammu, delivered lecture on five principles of education while Principal, GHSS Ghordi, Rashpal Singh delivered lecture on morality.
In second session, Naveen Chopra, renowned educationist and international banker from Jammu, spoke on ‘Teacher as a Role model’.
Swami Ekarthananda, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, gave valedictory address. After that, all the participants were given books and certificates of participation.
The forum members, who took active participation in the programme were Sheyam Lal, Kuldeep Kumar, Madan Mohan, Vishal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar and Radhey Sham.
