KISHTWAR, Feb 2: A 16-year-old girl died after being attacked by a leopard in Bramshalla Chanderbani, Kuntwara area here.
As per police sources, Hajra Banoo (16), daughter of Alaf Din, a resident of Bramshalla Chanderbani, Kuntwara had came out of her house to collect fire-woods, when a leopard attacked her.
As she shouted for help, villagers and family members rushed to the spot to rescue her. She was badly injured in the attack and was shifted to hospital, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
