JAMMU, Jan 6: A man was killed while two others including a lady were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a man identified as Subhash Singh (35) son of Suraj Singh, a resident of Purkhoo, received serious injuries when the bike he was riding on was hit tonight by an unknown vehicle at Purkhoo area falling under the limits of police station Kanachak.
The blood-ridden Subhash was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
In Resham Ghar area of city, a 16-year old boy was injured when he lost control over the bike he was riding on and it collided with a garbage bin near Psychiatric Hospital. The injured boy, who has been identified as Janu son of Satish Malhotra, a resident of Reshamghar was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
Another accident occurred tonight at Narwal Chowk where a truck bearing registration number JK02W-5171 hit and injured a pedestrian. The injured pedestrian who has been identified as Irshad Begum (35) wife of Mohd Shafi, a resident of Narwal, was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all three cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
