JAMMU, Dec 8: An extra ordinary session of J&K Teachers Forum was convened today under the leadership of chairman J&K Teachers Forum and president EJAC,  Ab  Qayoom Wani.
As the session discussed issues of teachers, Abdul Qayoom Wani said that Government  should seriously consider the same. “The drama of examination should be stopped forthwith as such type of orders cause  worries among teachers and affect their honour, dignity and self respect,” he  said and warned that teachers won’t  tolerate such humiliation  at any cost.
The EJAC president said that such examinations won’t be tolerated which are aimed at to dishonor the dignity of teachers. “So the Government  is advised to stop this music,” he added.
Mr Wani said that those ReT Teachers should be immediately regularized who have completed 5 years tenure and the pending time bound cases should  be settled forthwith  as the delay shall have serious repercussions.
The session observed that teachers were well aware of their duties and the issuance of frivolous orders cause anxiety to teachers so such unwarranted orders should be stopped.
Ab  Qayoom Wani said that ReT Teachers need applause and  appreciation as they kept the flame of knowledge aglow at that time when there was darkness every where. “With  a  meager  salary, they  added a new life to the department and such things won’t be tolerated which will shadow the dignity of teachers,” he said and added that  the Government  should also revisit the order banning the tuition as the poor parents can’t pay lefty sums to private coaching centre.
