RAMBAN, Dec 8: Batote Forest Division today carried out encroachment eviction drive in Ballout area.
An official spokesman said that Zahid Aslam Moghal, Divisional Forest Officer Batote along with Range Officer Batote and field staff under the supervision of M P Dogra, Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle carried out encroachment eviction drive and retrieved 129 kanal of forest land from seven encroachers in the villages of Sundgali and Tatarsoo.
The fencing erected by the encroachers was destroyed on spot.
