Punjabi book ‘Sukh Saneha’ released

JAMMU, Dec 3: Punjabi book, titled ‘Sukh Saneha’, written by Hardeep Kour Deepak, was released today during a function in this connection by Punjabi Lekhak Sabha Jammu.
On the occasion, papers were read out by Dr Monojit and Dr Gurmeet Kour on the contribution of Hardeep Kour Deepak and her present book. It was discussed that the present book is a collection of her 138 poems on various aspects of life and the values related to our daily life. Some of the poems depict her attitude towards various life situations and the reaction of the poetess in her poems towards it. The poetess has been able to say a lot in a concise text form.
Dr Arvinder Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL, Jammu, was chief guest on the occasion while S Bhagat Singh was the guest of honour.  Pritpal Singh Betab, a well known Urdu writer, presided over the function.
Dr Aman said that the coming generation should come forward to make the survival of Punjabi possible. S  Bhagat Singh disclosed that many of the poetess’ relatives have contributed in the field of Punjabi literature.  Pritpal Singh Betab said that the poetry of Deepak though small in its size, is not less than an established Punjabi poet.
S  Devinder Vishavnagrik, president, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, highlighted the activities and achievements of the Sabha.
Dr Baljeet Raina, Secretary, PLS conducted proceedings of the event.
A number of intellectuals, writers, artists, theatre and film personalities attended the event.
