MUMBAI, Dec 3:
Gangster Abu Salem’s lawyer Ashok Sarogi and two others were today arrested by the city police on charges of forgery and cheating.
On the order of the Bombay High Court, the city police had conducted an inquiry. During the probe it was established that the trio were allegedly involved in the case.
Thereafter, a case was registered against Sarogi and others for allegedly defrauding the court by aiding three businessmen for illegally acquiring agriculture land in Raigad district.
The trio had moved an Anticipatory bail application in the Supreme Court, which was rejected by it. On rejection of plea, they have surrendered before the Azad Maidan police station, sequently they were formally arrested.
Trio were-Ashok Saraogi, IVY Jacob Tauro and Sohel Kazi–they were booked for alleged cheating and forgery. (UNI)
