UDHAMPUR, Nov 27: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta today kick started the black topping works in Udhampur town.
The project involves black topping of 45 km road length covering all important roads of Udhampur city at an estimated cost Rs 9 crore by the PWD.
Minister said that the Government is committed to provide improved basic facilities to the people at their doorsteps and assured that the works underway would be completed in a time bound manner. He directed the concerned executing agency to strictly adhere to the quality norms.
Later, Minister also visited Model GHSS (Boys) Udhampur to inspect the ongoing construction works and directed the concerned to expedite the works.
Among others, XEn PWD Rajesh Gupta, AEE, PWD, Anil, senior officers of various departments, prominent citizens and local people in large number, were also present on the occasion.
