JAMMU, Nov 6: The 9th Annual Day function (senior wing) of KC International School was celebrated at Gen Zorawar Singh Auditorium, today.
The function started with the floral welcome of chief guest, Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, guest of honour, Basant Rath, IPS (DIG Home Guard Jammu) and then took place the lamp lighting ceremony which was followed by Ganesh Vandana.
The Board of Governors -Brigadier (Retd) Saranjit Sahney was also present to grace the occasion.
The Students showcased their talent by performing on the theme “We are the world- A Musical Saga”. A message to all the people to live locally, think globally and love universally. Students exhibited their hidden talent and emotions through dances not only from India but also from all corners of the world. The laudable contemporary dance was dedicated to the women all around the world.
Maya Mishra, the Principal of the school presented the school annual report 2014-15. The annual report highlighted the achievements of the school.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jammu appreciated the theme on which school worked upon and talked about various schemes of education and how to enhance the creativity of the students.
Vinay Mahajan, chairman of the school appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers who put their heart and soul in order to make it a successful event.
The function culminated with much awaited prize distribution ceremony wherein the worthy excellences’ bestowed the awards to the most deserving students, teachers as well as supporting staff members.
The teacher of the year award was given to Soni Abbi from junior wing and . Lovely Bazaz from senior wing.
The function ended un-abruptly with the vote of thanks by Vice Chairman Chaitanya Chowdhary. He motivated all to keep working hard with sincere endeavors.
