File affidavit or appear in person: DB to Addl Secy H&UDD

JAMMU, Nov 4: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by JKNPP supremo Prof. Bhim Singh alleging transfer of 623 kanals and 10 marlas of forest land to the JDA for construction of a colony at Sidhra, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Bansi Lal Bhat and Justice BS Walia today directed Additional Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department to file supplementary affidavit within two weeks failing which he shall appear in person.
After hearing Advocate HC Jalmeria appearing for the PIL, DB observed, “on the last date of hearing Additional Secretary to Government, Housing & Urban Development Department was directed to file fresh affidavit stating therein the present status of the land with the break up having regard to the person/persons in possession of the land and the extent of their possession but he has not filed the same”.
