24 bottles of liquor seized, 4 gamblers nabbed

SAMBA, Oct 28: Samba Police recovered 24 bottles of Rum without Excise Label from one Rashpal son of Sikander Lal Caste Mahasha of Katli, Ramnagar during Naka checking at Maheshwar, Samba near here today. Police said he was carrying the Rum in a bag on his motorcycle.
It said the police party headed by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba under the supervision of Varinder Singh, DySP HQ Samba during a routine naka intercepted the motorcycle bearing registration No. JK02AN-7492 and during checking it recovered the 24 bottles of rum from the bag which he was carrying.. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 181/2015 U/S 48 Excise Act has been registered at P/S Samba against him and investigation started.
Meanwhile a team of Samba Police led by Sanjeev Chib, SHO under the supervision of Varinder Singh, Dy SP HQ Samba conducted raid near SIDCO Chowk Samba and nabbed four gamblers namely Tarun Kattal son of Anchal Singh, Balwinder Singh son of Harsain Singh, Ashwani Singh son of Karnail Singh and Tinku Singh son of Baggu Singh all residents of Mawa Samba and recovered Rs. 5300/- as Gambling amount (AKADI) alongwith playing cards from the spot. All were booked under 13 Gambling Act.
