Govt committed to develop backward areas: Shamsher

BISHNAH, Oct 28: Seeking people’s cooperation to strengthen the developmental initiatives of the Government, Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas asserted that present regime is committed to develop backward and far-flung areas at par with urban pockets.
He was addressing the local people during a function organised by Ratnal Residents Welfare Committee here at village Ratnal in Bishnah.
On the occasion, various deputations from village Ratnal and adjoining areas met the MP and apprised him about their grievance and demands.
The demands projected by the people included augmentation of water supply, improvement in  power scenario, construction of boundary wall at cremation ground etc. The MP assured the people that their demands would be given due consideration.
He said that Rs 16.63 Lakh would be released shortly under MP LAD fund for meeting demands raised by the people. He said  works shall be carried out under the supervision of village committee. Advisor Rashpal Singh, Swarn Singh, coordination R K Bhalla and all concerned Officers   accompanied the MP.
