Srinagar, Oct 28: Army today distributed wheel-chairs and crutches among handicapped patients at GB Pant Hospital here in Sonwar.
A defence spokesman said 50 wheel-chairs and 30 Crutches were distributed among physically challenged persons in the presence of Dr Shafkat Khan, Medical Superintendent of the hospital and other Army and civil officials.
“The president Jammu and Kashmir Handicap Association, Abdul Rashid Bhat and the hospital staff appreciated the efforts of the Army. Bhat said that such welfare initiatives will not only ease lives and bring smiles to handicapped persons and their families but will also go a long way in strengthening the bond between the people and its army,” the Defence spokesman added.
