Non-teaching employees of School Education protest against manhandling

JAMMU, Oct 16:  Agitated over alleged manhandling of   a Section Officer in the office of Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, non-teaching employees of the School Education Department today held protest demonstrations in their respective offices.
As per schedule, the non-teaching employees assembled in their respective offices and held protest demonstration from 10 am to 12 noon. These protests were organized under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir School Education Non-Teaching Employees Forum, led by its president Bashir Malik.
Main protest demonstration was held in the premises of Directorate of School Education Jammu while similar protests were organized in Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban Doda, Kishtwar and Reasi.
Shouting slogans, the protesting employees demanded immediate arrest of accused Principal Pawan Singh Salathia, who is already suspended in connection with misappropriation of School funds.
Later, a memorandum was also presented to Director School Education Jammu regarding seeking disciplinary action against the already suspended Principal.
The Director assured the legal action to be initiated against the culprit.
The president of Jammu Division of the Forum, Bharat Bhushan Kotwal appealed to Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and SSP Udhampur to take immediate necessary steps so that such incidents do not happen in Government Offices in future.
