Pedestrian held with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Sept 30: Pallanwala police arrested a pedestrian along with 20 pouches of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable information, police team from Pallanwala police post intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 20 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the person, who has been identified as Deepak Singh, son of Jung Bahudar of Nikian, Khour.
The accused use to sell the illicit liquor pouches among the residents of his village on exorbitant rates.
A case under FIR Number 70/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Khour and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Pallanwala SI Vishal Dogra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Khour SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta, SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
