23 bovine animals seized, 4 smugglers arrested

RAJOURI, Sept 21:  The police claimed to have seized 23 bovine animals and arrested four smugglers in district  Rajouri since last night.
A police spokesman said that police party led by SHO Narinder Singh   during naka at Churung bridge Thannamandi last night, intercepted Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration No. JK21A-0686 and rescued 9 bovine animals. The vehicle was on its way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thannamandi-Mughal Road carrying milch animals illegally.  Police seized the vehicle and arrested bovine smuggler namely Mohd Hanief, son of Nazir Din, resident of Rajdhani in Thannamandi.
During naka, another truck No. JK-11/2388 was intercepted at Churung bridge during early hours today and seven bovine animals were rescued by the same police party. This vehicle was also moving towards Kashmir with milch animals via Mughal Road.
Rajouri police party led by SHO Insp Yashpaul Singh Jamwal under the supervision of DySP Headquarters  Hamid Choudhary, during naka at Muradpur last night rescued four bovine animals and arrested two  bovine smugglers namely Yasar Hussain, son of  Abdul Hamid of Behrote and Mohd Sahil, son of Mustaq Ahmed, residents of Behrote.
During another naka at Salani bridge, Rajouri police party seized a Tata  Mobile bearing registration No. JK01J-4169 and rescued four bovine animals. The vehicle was on its way to Srinagar via Thannamandi-Mughal Road with smuggled animals. Police seized the vehicle and arrested one bovine smuggler namely Imtyaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Ahmed, resident of Khablan. In this connection, a case FIR No. 476/2015 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at police Station Rajouri.
