JAMMU, Sept 6: The newly elected president of All Shopkeeper and Traders Association (ASTA), Ward Number 6, Gujjar Nagar, Bawe-Wali Gali and Jogi Gate, Arif Noor, today nominated his office bearers in a meeting held here today.
During the meeting Chowdhary Bagh Hussain and Om Parkash Sharma have been nominated as vice presidents, Aziz ur Rehman Khan as general secretary while Manjeet Singh, Nek Mohd Malik, Kewal Krishan, Mohd Riyaz (Raju) and Istiyaq Malik as joint secretary, Arif Nabi as cashier.
Quyoom Malik, Rafiq Malik, Javed Master, Vishal, Rafiq Khokkar, Liaquat Bhatt and Shaid Shafi have been nominated as executive members.
While speaking, Arif Noor highlighted the hardships being faced by the business community of the area. He said that the major problems of the business community of the area are electrification and cleanliness besides providing chowkidar at night.
He further stated that all other problems related to shopkeepers and traders will also be mitigated shortly.
Among others present were Mohammad Hussain Malik, Gardari Lal Sharma, Shafqat Khokkar, Nazir Naik, Raju Sharma, Arif Malik and Kiran Kumar.
