KISHTWAR, Sept 5: A driver was murdered by another driver near police station Kishtwar after a brawl over an issue this morning.
As per police sources, two drivers identified as Nisar Ahmed (30), son of Shabir Ahmed, a resident of Hullar and Imtiyaz, son of Mehrajudin, a resident of same area exchanged heated words over an issue.
The argument later took an ugly turn, when Nisar Ahmed was allegedly stabbed by Imtiyaz with sharp edged weapon in broad day light near Kishtwar police station.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Hospital Kishtwar, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The accused escaped from the spot after committing the crime.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Kishtwar police station and manhunt has been launched to apprehend the absconding accused.
