JAMMU, Sept 5: In order to provide better infrastructure to public of Jammu West, BJP MLA Sat Sharma (CA) along with officials of PWD (R&B) toured main roads of the Constituency where the works for Black Topping and Resurfacing of roads are to be done. After receiving numerous complaints and suggestions, Sharma called upon an emergency meeting of the officials of concerned department and after the meeting, he toured spots where the works will be taken up.
Sat Sharma said the projects of main roads will be started by Monday or Tuesday if no misoccurence in the form of rain takes place. He said the roads which will be covered under the projects of SDBC Resurfacing programme and Bitumen of 30mm include Shakuntla to Mian Dido Chowk, CPO Chowk to Mian Deedo Chowk via Ambphalla, Paloura Chowk to Jaggi Darbar, Janipur Amb Gharota Road, High Court Road, Link Road to Bhawani Nagar, Janipur Chowk to Janipur Colony, Rehari Chungi to Patoli Chowk via Sarwal, Rehari Chungi to Toph via Subash Nagar, Indira Chowk Subash Nagar to Shakti Nagar via Shiv Nagar, Paloura Chowk to Patoli Chowk, Janipur Road from Fish Market to Ram Leela Ground, Patoli Chowk to Toph Bridge via Toph Chowk, Canal Head to Toph Bridge via RRL, Pawan Ice Cream and AG office, Commerce College Gate to Canal Head via Dy. Goyal and Fishery Office, Janipur Road from Fish Market to Community Hall.
He also stated that other works in Talab Tillo for main Roads include Talab Tillo Gajansoo road upto Patta Chowk, Interrogation Lane, Pencil Factory Road, Revenue Complex Road, Gole Pully Road, Kailash Nagar, NITCO Lane and UNO Lane and Kabir Colony Road. Further stating, Sharma said that these projects are worth over Rupees Seven crores and the funds in the form of Rupees Fifty Lakhs obtained through Chief Minister in the meeting of District Development Board for Jammu West will also be utilized under the same and the communication for the same will also be made to District Development Commissioner soon.
