RAMBAN, Sept 1: Ramsoo police arrested a driver for smuggling 14 bovines to Valley.
As per police sources, on a tip-off, police team from Ramsoo police station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AS-7885.
During checking, police rescued 14 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Safdar Ali, son of Mohammad Bashir of Karmada, district Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 64/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at police station Ramsoo and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramsoo police station Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar made the arrest under the supervision of Mohammad Rafiq, SDPO Banihal and Randeep Kumar, SSP Ramban.
