JAMMU, Aug 30: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held a protest demonstration demanding cash compensation for the Pakistani firing victims residing on border and LoC and rehabilitation package for them.
Admist burning of Pakistan flags and raising anti-Pakistan slogans, JWAM president Sunil Dimple appealed PM to visit LoC villages and urged for compensation to the families of victims.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple said “our hospitals are full of the injured and many have become disabled and lost their arms, legs etc due to firing and mortar shelling by Pakistani army in areas of R S Pura and along Line of Control.
He demanded compensation of Rs 20 lakh and job to the families whose members have lost lives, due to the Pakistan fire, and Rs 10 lakh to those who have become handicapped, lost their legs, arms due to firing and Rs one lakh to all the injured.
Dimple expressed concern that the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has not visited the LoC and the hospitals to inquire the health and the condition of the border people. He alleged that Chief Minister has not yet announced any compensation for the LoC victims. He demanded befitting reply to Pakistan and liberation of areas occupied by them.
