SAMBA, Aug 29: A team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD), Samba booked fifteen traders and recovered a fine of Rs 10,500 from them.
A team of LMD led by Assistant Controller, Samba, Anita Sharma during intensive market checking at Vijaypur, Sarore, Patli Morh and Bari Brahmana booked provisional stores, sweet shops, cloth merchants, fruit/ vegetable vendors, flour and rice mills and imposed a fine of Rs 10,500 on the defaulters. The fine money was recovered on the spot by Inspector Narinder Kumar for violation of various provisions of Weight & Measures.
