JAMMU, Aug 29: A man who had fallen sick due to food poisoning died today here in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was undergoing treatment for the past few days.
According to a police spokesperson, Chajju Ram (72) was one amongst over 100 people who had fallen ill after eating food at a social gathering in village Chak Nathal in Hiranagar Tehsil in Kathua district, few days ago.
He said that majority of the sick people were admitted in the local hospital from where three seriously sick people were shifted to GMCH for specialized treatment.
