Implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act ( PSG Act) and Right to Information Act (RTI Act) have yielded appreciable results by way of making an officer/official more and more accountable as well as transparent.A number of embezzlements/irregularities such as fake degrees, income and expenditure of Govt works, details of works allotted etc have come to light which otherwise was not possible. It works as social audit. Performance of an employee remains checked and scanned.
PSG Act is an instruement in public hand to get work done from the most of the public dealing offices. A layman used to even go in offices like Ration depot, RTO ofice, Tehsildar office, for many months but still remained incomplete.Babulog used to make one pretend and other. With this it is not possible to befool the public.Corruption graph also has come down to some extent.
In this regard, I want to draw the attention of the Govt to make ensure that these Acts are being implemented in real spirit and not in papers.Moreover sphere of PSGA should also be widened by way of taking into account the GPF /state LIC where it takes months and months to get clear their claims especially when one gets retired.
It is expected that this shall be taken into consideration in right earnest.
