Scientific Aid Course concludes

UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: Two weeks Scientific Aid Course which commenced on July 20, 2015, concluded at   Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, here today.
Sixteen officers of the rank of DySP to ASI as nominated by PHQ participated in the Course. The course was designed under the guidance of Director Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur, IGP Rajesh Kumar.
The objective behind this course was to make police officers well equipped and aware about the scientific techniques and their importance in investigation, collection of evidences, DNA Finger printing, Finger prints, Handling and packing of physical evidences, Forensic ballistics, Narcotics, Explosives and detection of forged Indian currency notes.
Guest speakers namely Rohit Koul, Retd. Scientific officer, R.S Jamwal SO FSL, Jammu, Jagdish Lal AGM Treasurer RBI, Jammu and Dr Narinder Gupta delivered lectures to the participants on the assigned topics.
The deliberations were also made by faculty members including Kamal Sharma, CPO, Rajeev Thappa, Sr.PO, Jagpaul Sharma, Inspector and Harjit Singh SI.
A visit of participants to FSL Jammu was also organized.
The valedictory function of course was graced by Ravinder Kumar Rao DDP.
Anil Gandotra Sr.PO and Jagpaul Sharma Inspector were course coordinator and course secretary respectively.
